This wagon was used by the majority of the privately owned companies across the whole of the UK rail network. This was a typical wagon to be found in most goods yards around the country. This wagon was originally designed to carry most goods, but was mostly used by the coal industry. The kit uses a timber body with etched brass strapping and a brass etched compensated chassis and white metal castings. A small amount of soldering is

necessary but the majority of the build may be glued. 

This kit come complete with wheels, couplings & sprung buffers







BR SEACOW / SR BALLAST WAGON £60.00

Bogie 40 ton hopper wagons were first introduced by the LSWR in 1903/4, built by G & R Turner of Nottingham. This led to a number of versions prior to the introduction of the SR dia 1774 which, along with SR dia 1775, were the forerunner of the later BR built Walrus, Sealion and Seacow hoppers.

Etched brass kit with white metal fittings.

Comes complete with sprung buffers, couplings and wheels. Requires on paint, transfers and solder/glue to complete.
